    Have your Toast Burnt?

When something is not working, or burnt try again! Try again one more time and another time maybe, depending on how long you have!

If you come to the conclusion that something isn’t working and you know it will not, start from fresh. Reset the button and find a new way of doing it, a new solid strategy, and a pen and note book in hand. Just like in Business, if you aren’t sure that you have a business or figure out that your business is not sustainable, don’t lie to yourself, it is ok to fail and start again. You will be more respected and credible. We all make mistakes… I have not been in business for 30 years, but have gained experience in fails and come backs. I am only 34 years, and I have done a lot in a very little time.

There is no point in being in the denial and playing the arrogant or the connoisseurs. There is no point in lying to people around you, one day they will find out that you are full of …. And what you do is to piss them off and end up lonely. You can only be in the denial for a certain time, after that you done! Cooked! Grilled!

I have friends whom have been in business for years; they have fails and collected themselves again. A business man or woman can only survive if their creations are sustainable. The market is tough and geniuses are waking up, emotions are what driving people into your business, you have to deal with them in a very professional way, increase communication, be fair, delegate, take action and avoid coward attitudes, if you can’t deal with it , please seek help from your peers and mentors.

Tell them that you have failed and they will help you, be honest with yourself. Take a time off and deal with your egos instead of putting your head under the water for long.
Social sites that waste your times and energy, avoid it, your time is precious, go and find a job in the third sectors or call me for a chat, i might be able to assist. Take a time to retrain yourself and your brain, gain a new knowledge. You will do yourself a big favour.

It is time to hit the reset button, defrag the hard drive in the brain, rebuild the emotional and intellectual operating systems. Don’t you think?

  • There are no problems, only solutions in Business

    Good Morning,

When we have issues in my organization, we call a brainstorming session, outlined the issues and try to solve them. I love them, I get to interact with my team and we have great FUN. I also get to see their personalities, body languages, how confident they are in expressing their views.Honesty and sincerity are key elements here. It also helps me communicate with the team as we don’t get to meet quiet often due to my busy schedules, time’s differences and my charitable activities. We have responded to a tender last week for a major American company that have operation in Africa, we will be using this method to come up with new ideas, we have 40 days, so plenty of time.

What do you think about brainstorming sessions? Do you apply this methodology in your business?

    Best Wishes,

    MJ.

  • Snowed In

Posted on March 31st, 2009 Marieme No comments

I am sure you will notice that severe weather conditions this morning have made commuting and travel almost impossible. With weather forecasts predicting worsening conditions as the day goes on, alternate work arrangements need to be made if you want your business to continue.

Have you considered re-arranging your meetings and scheduling your appointments via an audio or web conference?

Reports suggest the snow is set to cost the economy in the region of £60m per day in lost productivity, and this weather could last throughout the week!

My team is using our conference accounts and other video conference facilities to continue working productively regardless of the weather! If you have the same facilities, all you need to do is pick up the phone and click on a web link that is provided and your meetings can continue as planned!

If you would like to know more about some conferencing service that can be available to you and allowing you to work from the safety of your own home, then please do not hesitate to PM me for more details. I will be happy to help

Don’t get snowed under – meet virtually and remain productive!

    Kind regards,

    Marieme Jamme
